Meet The Artist

Describing what I do is much easier than describing why I do it. Or better put, the journey that brought me here and made my voice what it is. For me, art is a feeble attempt to represent the things in nature that we know are just beyond our perception. If we could see all the florescent colors like a robin, hear deep frequencies from miles away like an elephant, then we could do a little more to understand the nature of this world rather than just wonder at it in reverence. There's a feeling that the natural world wants to tell us more than we're capable of hearing. That's the sort of feeling that drives my passion to lay down layers of paint. If I can make you wonder "what feeling lives slightly under this brush stroke", then I'll have successfully given a glimpse into that relationship I feel with the universe dancing around us, maybe even preserving the unique connections that make us human.
